Few moments of glitter

A twinkle of Love

Portrait and boudoir photography by woman for women with love and sensitivity.

Photographers Bio...

Mary has been involved with photography for many years and her talent is easily seen in her work. Her skills and capabilities as an artist have been attributed to her travels among numerous locations both overseas and within the United States. As an active member of Los Angeles Vietnamese Photographers Society, she is able to share her pastime and contribute her work.

Mary began taking pictures with her main focus and interest in landscape photography. As her passion for photography evolves, she is currently concentrating in portraiture and boudoir photography for women. Being a woman herself, she understands the sensitivity necessary to accomplish this task from a woman’s perspective. It is her aspiration to establish each person’s unique beauty and bring forward their best features. It is her skills that allow her the ability to present these attributes in best possible light.

If you are interested in seeing any of her work or would like to schedule a shooting session with her, feel free to e-mail or call her to set up an appointment. You will find her sincerity and genuine responsiveness refreshing.

Depending on the type of shoot, you may need a change of clothings, your personal makeup kit, foot wear, jewelery, etc. I will discuss what is needed before the actual shoot.

How long does a photo shoot usually last?

It depends. In regular in studio type of shoot, the typical session last approximately 1 to 2 hours. If it is a location shoot, the actual time can vary greatly due to fact of using available light. We may just have to wait for that golden moment.

Do you shoot film or digitally?

I shoot both in digital format and in regular film. It is much more cost effective today to shoot digitally. If you wish to shoot in film, there are addidional processing charges. I can shoot in both 35mm or in medium format.

Is digital pictures as good as film?

There are advantages and disadvantage shooting in digital format. The quality of digital pictures is approaching the quality of film. Some of the advantages of digital pictures are

Usually, a proof sheet and a CD will be available for pickup or mailed within 24 hours. The actual prints will take a little longer depending on the labs

Do you shoot in a studio or outdoors?

I can do both. The studio environment is a more controlled setting. I use strobes, backgrounds and whatever necessary to pull off a shot. Location shoot is more demanding. We have the weather, available light, and other distraction to worry about. There are situation where the type of shots are best done outdoor.

Do you shoot color or black and white?

It really depends on the theme of the shoot. Color pictures and black and white pictures are totally different. They are lighted differently and convey a totally different mode. I usually do both to capture the best of both world.

Who owns the right of the pictures?

With digital technology today, there is no longer an issue of who keeps the negatives. Customarily, the photographer owns the right of the photographs. You will get a CD which contains the pictures that you choose to print which allows you to make additional prints later.

What's your hours?

Depending on my workload, the hours that I am available varies from day to day. When we schedule a shoot, I can assure you that I will be available at that time slot.
